Kill Long-Running Webi Documents
What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to have control over when managing Business Objects?
I’m willing to bet it’s troubleshooting long-running Webi reports.
This is now possible with 360Live, one of the newest solutions in 360Suite. 360Live provides lightweight monitoring and alerting for your Business Objects environments.
With 360Live, you can monitor the run time of all Webi reports and kill individual reports, when necessary. Until now, if a report ran too long, the only option was to restart the entire Webi Processing server, thereby killing all reports, including the ones that were running just fine! Now you can keep the server running and kill only the problem reports. This is just another example of how 360Suite improves the relationship between IT and business.

360Live also resolves the question of who is running what report. Columns display both user names and report names. If a report was newly created and has not yet been saved, then the Name column displays “New Document” and the Type column displays “Adhoc.
Until now, if a report ran too long, the only option was to restart the entire Webi Processing server, thereby killing all reports, including the ones that were running just fine!
360Live can also send alerts when reports have been running for a predetermined length of time (e.g., 20 or 30 minutes). You can configure alerts to stop long-running Webi reports automatically or to take no action so you can investigate further.
